Grilled Mango Habanero Chicken Sandwich

This Grilled Mango Habanero Chicken Sandwich is sweet, spicy, and smokey. The fresh Mango Habanero BBQ sauce elevates this sandwich to a whole other level.

 


Nothing says summer like a delicious grilled sandwich. The combination of crispy onion rings, sweet and spicy sauce, and grilled chicken with melted cheese will have your tastebuds singing.




 

  • Chicken thighs

  • Garlic powder

  • Salt

  • Black pepper


 

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1: CHICKEN
  • Season the chicken on all sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Grill over medium heat until an internal temperature of 170°F is reached.

  • Once done, top the chicken with sliced mozzarella and cook for another minute or two until it melts.

  • Remove from heat.

STEP 2: BUNS
  • Toast the buns on a griddle or skillet. To enhance the flavor, spread some butter or mayo on the buns before toasting.

STEP 3: ASSEMBLE



 


 

INGREDIENTS

Makes 4 sandwiches

  • 4 Brioche Buns, toasted

  • 1 C fresh guacamole

  • 4 grilled chicken thighs (ingredients below)

  • 5-6 leaves butter Lettuce

  • 4-8 slices Mozzarella cheese

  • Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce

  • 8-12 crispy onion rings


CHICKEN

  • 1 lb chicken thighs

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
