Chili Garlic Chicken

This Chili Garlic Chicken is marinated in a spicy-sweet, garlicy sauce, and then its all cooked on a single sheet pan in the oven. Watch my recipe video HERE.

 

This marinade and sauce is one of our favorites-- it works well on salmon, chicken, steak, veggies-- you can't go wrong.





 

  • Sheet pan or baking sheet

  • Mixing Bowl

  • Chicken thighs

  • Low-sodium soy sauce

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic

  • Red pepper flakes

  • Sesame oil

  • Honey

  • Sesame seeds

  • Optional - chives


 

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1: SAUCE
  • Mix the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, and honey in a bowl.

  • Set aside 1/2 C of the sauce for serving.

STEP 2: MARINATE
  • Add chicken to the bowl and mix well to fully coat.

  • Refrigerate, covered, for 12-24 hours or at least 30 minutes.

STEP 3: BAKE
  • Transfer the chicken to a sheet pan or baking sheet and cook at 400°F for 30 minutes.

  • The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 170°F.

STEP 4: SERVE
  • Top with the remaining sauce and sliced chives.



 


 

INGREDIENTS

Makes 4-5 servings

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs

  • 1/2 C low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1/2 C olive oil

  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 TBSP red pepper flakes

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 3 TBSP honey

  • 1/2 TBSP sesame seeds

  • Optional - 1 TBSP chives, sliced for topping
